Alternative Dispute Resolution
A wise person never closes the door to a reasonable resolution. If you are involved in
a dispute and do not want to go to court, we may be able to help you settle your dispute
using mediation, arbitration, or another alternative method of dispute resolution. We can
also help you select a mediator or arbitrator.
Alternative dispute resolution can be more beneficial for you than a court trial. It
can be faster, cheaper, fairer, less formal, less antagonistic, and much more
confidential. It can also help you preserve your relationship with the other party
if you need to remain on good terms.
We may be able to use alternative dispute resolution to help you resolve any of the
following types of disputes:
Personal injury
General business issues
Breach of contract
Divorce and custody
Real estate or construction
Landlord-tenant |
Property damage
Debtor-creditor
Product liability
Estate disputes
Other careless or
wrongful conduct
|
If the other party suggests that you use an alternative
means to resolve your dispute, you should not interpret this suggestion as a sign of
weakness. Nor should you be reluctant to make this suggestion. Remember, you should always leave the door open to a reasonable resolution.
